Mouse lags when opening new tab

When I open a new tab in firefox there is a noticable period when the mouse lags, this also happens in another tab if you open a link in a new tab. I have included a performance profile of this and you can see the event processing delay of the mouse input when a new tab is opened. Any help appreciated, I have tried a refresh and disabling all addons. https://perfht.ml/2yGq8ve

I think I have solved this by disabling flash, the one thing I did not try! Actually didn't completely solve, but rolling back GPU drivers solved.
