Hi guys,

I love Mozilla products but with the push to get users on your cloud services Sync and Lockwise (I've got a bone to pick with you about that but that's another subject) where are the tools to support users wishing to make a Subject Access Request, do they exist already and I've missed them?

Many thanks.

hello, you can refer to Information for EU, EEA, Swiss, California, Connecticut, Virginia and Utah users - the contact section also contains a form to make various requests.

though when signing up for a firefox account next to no personal information is required or asked for - basically a username, mail address and profile picture if you choose to provide one.

Thank you, I had found that One Trust site but as it wasn't on a mozila.org domain I wasn't confident to use it; the contact page link from the link above has given me the confidence to use it.

As regards to Mozilla not being in possession of the personal information associated with Sync and Lockwise, that is not correct. Mozilla is a Data Controller & a Data Processor, it has a contract with an end user and it responsible for storing and processing the data, regardless of whether or not is it encrypted, how it is transferred or how it is stored; please note GDPR applies to paper storage too.

Lockwise and Sync are Mozilla products; https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/legal/terms/services/ .

Personal data is broadly defined as data that is identifiable to a unique individual, and you can't get much more unique than an email address & everything attached to my email address is my personal data.

However, you have answered my initial question so thank you.
