Firefox runs extremely slow compared to other browsers, have tried uninstalling, setting exclusions to both antivirus and firewall with no success. Suggestions?
My Firefox browser on my Windows 10 Surface Book is being extremely slow at loading web pages compared to my other browsers like Chrome. I have tried running exclusions on Firefox for both the Windows Defender antivirus & firewall. Moreover, I've tried reinstalling Firefox, disabling add-ons, configuring the performance settings, and restarting it in Safe Mode. Now that I think about it, this issue has been plaguing me for months, but Firefox will go back to running perfectly for weeks at a time, and then goes right back to being horrendously slow at loading web pages again. Heck, even a simple Google search seems to take ages to load! I really don't want to switch to Chrome or any other browser so I really hope the community can help me out since I'm not sure what else I can do. Thank you for any help on this!

hi, please see if the following change in configuration can fix the performance problems: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel, under the permissions section enable the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser and restart once.
