I can't remove the foxytunes listing from my windows 7 64 bit uninstall list-when I try Firefox won't shut down 100% until I use the Resource Monitor.

Foxytunes is long gone, but the listing won't go away. I've used Safe Mode to remove possible offending registry keys. I tried using the Microsoft tool for this, but don't have the "28 character code" for Foxy Tunes. I'd like this listing gone, especially on account of the fact that attempting to remove it makes Firefox 'misbehave.' If this is too obsessional INYHO, please say so. Also is you could provide the 28 character code for Foxytunes, I could try the Microsoft tool again.

Problem solved! At a Microsoft forum, a knowledgeable contributor recommended the programRevo Uninstaller . It worked perfectly. One caveat--it allows the user to delete Registry Keys. They have to be checked off in a box, so there won't be any inadverdent mistakes, but people who haven't worked in registry keys need to be extra careful

Is it an add-on, or a plugin? Add-ons are extensions and have a Remove button. Plugins, on the other hand, do not.

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.

BTW, download the program from Revo's website. VirusTotal had a one day old clean sheet yesterday
