Accidentally uninstalled Firefox but have not rebooted as instructed to complete uninstall on Windows 8.1. Can I get it back, primarily because I want the bookmarks. If I try to install a new version, it won't let me until I reboot. So, I'm think my uninstalled Firefox is lurking on my computer somewhere. I don't have any system restore points.

hi, a normal firefox uninstall won't remove your custom data like bookmarks, passwords and settings. you can just reinstall firefox with an installer from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ after a reboot.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install or update, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
