
problem with update 38.1.0 no new emails are being received in mail accounts
Installed update 38.1.0 Now there are no new emails being received in email accounts How can I correct the problem

Thunderbird 38.1.0 receives emails for a few hours, then hangs on receiving message 1 of x. Turning off Firewall and AntiVirus does nothing. Killing the Thunderbird process and restarting does nothing. A system reboot will correct this for several hours. IMAP accounts receive emails with no issues. I am ready to ditch Thunderbird after many years of use, as I am tired of constantly rebooting my system. This started with 38.1.0. I am running Win 7 SP1 Home Premium.
