I do not see any drop down menus on Firefox for Win 7 that would all me to install chromecast extension into the browser itself to cast content using my chromecast device. Appears to be only for chrome browser? maybe? any suggestions on the procedures to do it if they exist?

Firefox Chromecast support is for Android only. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/send-webpages-your-tv-firefox-android-chromecast#mobile::m34

You can set up your Chromecast via Windows though. https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/2998456?hl=en
