My browser got restarted and i used to have a search bar beside the url bar but now its at the tabs bar, i only have two inches of tab space don't think it's the same one anyway i just want to get rid of it. Can't find 'search bar' in any of the options in firefox to rid it. thx

Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.

  • Firefox menu button > Options
  • View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)

You can try to move the (Google) search bar back to its position on the Navigation Toolbar.

  • if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup

You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file if the above didn't help.
