If I type a search in the top right Search box- it shows Suggestions instantly.

If I then type the same in the Main page Search box- No Suggestions!?

This feature worked Good in FF 22?

The default home page about:home doesn't show suggestions.

You will have to set the www.google.com website as the home page to be able to use suggestions

Is the problem specifically on the iGoogle home page: https://www.google.com/ig

You might double-check your Ghostery settings in case there is some blockage there.

Win7 Pro. The problem is with iGoogle Only (IE 10 works OK?), and is whitelisted in Ghostery.

Solution!- I opened https://www.google.com/ig, in my New https://www.google.com homepage, and Used Current/closed & opened twice. Suggestions now works OK!  :o) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update!- This solution worked on my Win7 Pro laptop (64-bit), but Not on my Win7 Pro 32-bit desktop!? I also checked about:config, and browser.search.suggestions... is True?

-IGoogle is due to be discontinued in Nov./13.

One other possibility: if you see the "shield" icon next to the URL when you load the iGoogle page, it could be the new "mixed content blocker" in Firefox 23. This article explains in more detail: Mixed content blocking in Firefox

Somehow I got IGoogle Search Suggestions working on my seldom-used 64-bit laptop , but Not on my 32-bit desktop (Same AV/OS)!?

Question?- Is it possible to "somehow" copy/replace... my 64-bit Profile Contents into my 32-bit Profile, while saving my 32-bit cookies/passwords/bookmarks? Please be detailed in your Reply.....

Or?

Yes it is possible to copy profiles or more usefully parts of profiles but the best solution is to use profile manager to create a brand new additional profile. If the new profile works then Passwords and bookmarks for instance may be migrated to the new profile.

  1. Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
  2. Recovering important data from an old profile

Note, profiles should

  • Be created in the location Firefox suggests or in empty folders.
    • otherwise they may share features and when deleted take out other files
  • Not be renamed, or deleted. If you do not need a profile just remove the shortcut to it, or do not use the profile managers option for that profile. (Folders do not get renamed and it is easy to make mistakes)

You can do what you want once you understand how to manually create delete and edit profiles without using profile manager; until then take the above as rules not just good practice.

With iGoogle's demise so close I would have thought it is hardly worth continuing to use it. If you have not yet set up alternatives to iGoogle maybe these links help:
