I was recently attacked by a virus when I visited a web site. I quickly closed Firefox and when I tried to reopen the browser later that day, Firefox restored my tabs from that session and the virus got in. Is there a way to prevent previous tabs from being restored after a quick shutdown? I would rather just lose whatever I was working on and go directly to my homepage. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Set the pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.

That will allow you to deselect the tab(s) that you do not want to reopen, but will allow to reopen the other tabs.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
