I have configured my email account to Thunderbird mailbox, but the email sending speed is too slow and cannot be sent successfully.

When using Thunderbird mailbox mail merge plug-in, it always shows: Your email has been sent, but due to network or file access errors, the copy could not be placed in the outgoing backup folder (sent). How to set up the account to solve this problem, you can put the email into the outbox or draft box of the email account.

How to activate Thunderbird mailbox account enterprise version and enterprise version fee and daily email limit?

Any thoughts on this will be very much appreciated. I have 2 email accounts with Yahoo and am using Thunderbird to access them. It used to work properly, but now I can receive emails on both accounts, but can only send emails on one of them. The other account gives me the error message: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending email. The mail server responded: Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again." When I then look at the SMTP user name, it shows the name for the other account. When I change that user name to the correct name, I can then send emails on that account, but the process also changes the user name in the second account, such that it no longer allows sending emails. In other words, when I go to 'account settings' and set the SMTP user name for account 1, then go to account 2 settings, I find that the account 1 user name shows up. If I then change the account 2 user name and go back to look at the settings for account 1, I find that the SMTP user name in account 1 has changed to the same as I just changed in account 2. Additional info: Prior to this problem, I had gone into my emails on the Yahoo website and changed the password on both accounts. When I then opened Thunderbird it asked me for the new passwords for each account, as it normally does, and everything looked fine until I tried to send using the one account. Typically if I experience a security certificate exception, thunderbird will popup the certificate exception box, I click to get certificate and am done.

Today I cannot get the certificate popup to appear. which is fine I know where the certificates are managed but I have not a clue how to add a certificate OR what information to enter into the "Add security exception" dialogue box

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just setup a second Thunderbird profile for Exchange. Using Owl for Exchange plugin.

I right click onto a subfolder, and pick Properties, then go into Synchronization. I click onto a checkbox for "Select this folder for offline use" and I hit OK to close the window. Nothing happens. I go back, and the checkbox is not checked. I tried hitting the Download Now buttons, nothing happened.

Any clue why my check box selection is not accepted?

When I used Outlook, I set it up to use OST, so I have a copy of my email that is on the remote Exchange server. Now I am trying to do the same with Thunderbird.

I were not sure, where this could belong, therefore I chose "Settings".

I recently switched from K9 Mail to Thunderbird Mobile and were very happy to see, that there has been a migration option to transfer all the account settings from desktop to mobile version.

Well, not all accounts and not all settings were transferred and only the first QR code has been recognized whereas the other three were unrecognizable - but still a good move!

That brought me to the idea: Wouldn't it be nice, if there were some Thunderbird Sync, where all accounts, the server settings, the identities (!!), the signatures (!) and other settings (fonts, quoting etc) would be the same on all devices?

And where would be the place to promote such an idea?

Group Policy - Preferences

This policy requires the use of JSON, we have been using the following which has been working ok:

Within the old "Preferences (Deprecated)" there is a setting called "intl.accept_languages" which we are wanting to use but I can't seem to find a way to include this within the JSON. We are wanting to set it to "en-GB".

If I enable this within the old deprecated preferences section it causes the Preferences with the JSON to stop working.

I have tried various combinations of including it within the JSON but neither are working:

I've checked the Mozilla website here: https://mozilla.github.io/policy-templates/ There doesn't seem to be any reference for the intl.accept_languages setting to be used within the JSON

I have just installed the latest version of Thunderbird in my new Windows 11 desktop. I have set up two email accounts with all the correct Charter Communications server information. It seems that when I enter the account user name for one account SMTP setting it migrates to replace the user name for the other account as well. Thus only one account can send emails! As an aside, when asked to enter passwords for each account I do not save them to the password saver. Any thoughts as to how to keep each account's user name intact in the SMTP settings would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

When asked to re-enter the appropriate password I enter the never ending merry-go-round......I have 6 addresses. Whilst it is possible to access then via their specific accounts held with Microsoft this is time consuming,hence the preference of Thunderbirdb which up until now has been trouble free for approx 15 years. This unnecessary development makes me wonder why I only need a user naame aand password to access via Microsoft. I have tried every method kindly provided by other users to no avail. Can anyone provide the correct server setting for both IMAP and SMTP? As I have said these 'new' authentification/s are in my opinion tantamount to using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut. I hope my explantion makes sense? Surely I cannot be alone?

Hi all I am running Thunderbird 28.7 Oesr (64 bit) on MXLinux 23.5 Libretto. The Spaces toolbar in Thunderbird is leaving a thin semi-transparent artifact right across the bottom of my screen impacting the MX panel which is located there. I can move the panel but the artifact remains visible. Is it possible to rectify this? TIA Jack

Hi. I have followed the instructions on the Mozilla site above however this does not work. The Enterprise Roots keep reloading after a while.

Any idea how to stop this happening?

I have read many articles on this but nothing works. The E Roots will in initially not reload but eventually after a day or three its back.
