Running FF115.23.1ESR on a Win7/32 box I use in network maintenance/configuration.

If I log into the modem main page and select from the side-bar menu, FF drops me back to the modem's login screen (Groundhog Day style). This behaviour is repeatable (endlessly) on:

• * another identical modem (same/latest firmware). These have repeatedly been factory reset and firmware reloaded. No change.
• * another Win7 box (/64) on same FF release.

Opera - reluctantly added on those same Win7 boxes - does not have this (mis-)behaviour.

Win10/64 running FF138.0.4 does not have this issue.

Up until about ten weeks back, the (then-current) Win7/X esr release did NOT have this problem.

Yes, I HAVE cleared cache/cookies repeatedly before sessions, to no avail. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> [EDIT:] The on-line modem/router emulator can be accessed at https://support.netcommwireless.com/e.../login.html The default un/pswd is admin/admin. Once in the main page, select "Advanced" from the left menu list. This (in the emulator) opens the Advanced page, as it should. In a normal situation here, it simply reverts to the login page.

Q1: Anyone have any experience like this, or any clues/suggestions?

Q2: To continue using these Win7 boxes in that role, am I forced to abandon FF?

I’ve noticed that Firefox does not show the translation icon in the toolbar for a webpage, even though the page is in English. When I manually go to "Application Menu" → "Translate Page…", I receive the message: "Translation is not available for this page - Sorry, this language is not yet supported." However, if I click on "Change source language" and manually set it to English, the translation works correctly. It seems like Firefox is not detecting the language of the page automatically, and as a result, the translation feature does not appear unless I manually intervene. The issue occurred on this page: "https://mantisbt.org/docs/master/en-US/Developers_Guide/html-desktop/#dev.contrib.submit.before".

I also looked for a way to report this issue, but I only found a form for reporting incorrectly translated words here: "https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdoRWnsHX6vVnGIRyLi4Kl-p0GrmeVIioqWsTz3aVTRfLScng/viewform". There doesn't seem to be an option to report entire sites where the translation does not work at all.

Version: Firefox 138.0.3 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 24.04.

When browsing, the tabs and address bar get stuck somehow. Tabs can still be closed with "close other tabs", and new tabs can be opened by following URLs, but the tab component is fully stuck. Sometimes it fixes itself, but usually it requires browser restart.

I have been using the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 for a while with Debian Trixie with GNOME. I have noticed that firefox works for the initial half hour or so and after that it just stops responding to the touches. I know its Firefox because the other system parts stay responsive to my touches, e.g. GNOME. I'm on version: Mozilla Firefox 128.10.0esr.

Can anyone help me?

There used to be a toggle in the high contrast settings to use system colors on all web pages, but now the option is gone. [This](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-contrast-control#w_automatic-use-system-settings) post claims that automatic uses system colors, but with automatic enabled, I cant get the colors to actually apply.

Running - when open to run webtrading site, I got message - This page is slowing down Firefox. To speed up your browser stop this page. And stop button. And the webtrading site stops anyway. Could you help Please. Thank you, Frank

Firefox tries to install helper each time I try to open Firefox. It seems to install and then repeats each time I try to open the software. If I cancel it will not open either.

A file called 'Pending Pings' appeared within the folder in which my Firefox installation is located. I last used Firefox on May 14, 2025. I don't know how it appeared as I disabled automatic updates and made it so it would ask me if I wanted an update, so I do not know why it is.

When I watch videos in full screen using Firefox browser, the taskbar at the bottom of the system still appears below.And it blocks some of the operation buttons, making it impossible for me to perform operations such as "fast forward", "pause", "volume control" while watching the video。 It seems that we haven't achieved true full screen display.

However, this situation does not occur in other browsers.

What's going on here?

After updating to 138.0.4 I no longer have "Recently Closed Tabs" after clearing History. Is there a way to fix this? Can I download a previous version? If so, how?

As I follow the instructions and get to the scan my PC bar code on the PC screen with my cell phone it causes the computer to respond which is only to give me an error that the PC is not paring or just sits on the same screen with nothing basically on it.

I have not used firefox in a while but am over google for good now, regardless i cant tell if this is a legits version missing a refresh page has a lock and admin badge in its place the tabs have no visible seperatiionvery odd but was wondering if there is a way to update searched and could not figure it out went thru setting might have missed it but honest should not be this hard.

If I want to quickily CHECK if my version is or needs updatign hoover over uri for say 3 seconds activates info as uri fades info bar shows version and update button is availiable to updat on right side of bar.... FOR A BONUS on left side of bar in url area top common Local host shortcuts say localhost:3001 or just as :3001 :3002 :3003 or even better just the ones it knows are running so its liek no local host detected running or :3002 and :4003 with click options to auto url .... BUt wait theirs MORE dont was the MIDDLE middle router. no not that kind Middle of uRL is a router icon X over it no router detect router icon Clickable. But GIVE YA A GUESS WHAT THIS FUTURISTIC gadget doies Goes to you local router page WOW did I just solve 3 of the BIGGES smallest laziest issues of mankind meh nah but its a start.

Using Google Voice became unusable. Firefox too slow. Had been running just fine up till maybe a month ago when I finally gave in and allowed Firefox to update. Not knowing if it was a Windows or other issue I stupidly did a Windows reset and lost all my installed programs (including Firefox). I did a fresh install of Firefox and manually reentered passwords and bookmarks.

Ran fine for a day or two and is now again unusable. Cleared cache and appears to work OK at the moment but still sluggish.

I have noticed that Firefox has been getting too many updates recently...even as much as 2 updates this week alone. Frankly i'm sick of getting the green icons and pop-ups in the upper right corner. Is there a way in about:blank codes to turn off these stealth downloading behaviour and prompt pop-ups to restart the browser and let me just manually do it in settings when i want to but without notifications ?

When I open Firefox on my computer, I get a blank page for my home page. I have attempted to change my home page using the drop-down choices, except for blank page choice. No luck! Help.

Please create a new version of the browser app that supports the ability to use FileSystemAPI on directories, this is essential for working with a BeatBuddy project and SD cards that are saved on my computer using the online editor.
