I used new tab last night, and now when I got online today, a new window won't load, just blank new tab.
This happened once before and I had to do a complete restore of firefox, which was a pain. What's going on? I'm running FF 19.0 and Windows 7.

Hello billiejane, see if the value changed in about:config, in about:config find browser.newtab.url right-click on it choose reset (if the value it is not the about:newtab), if the value is correct (about:newtab) then see : Corrupt or damaged prefs.js file

This has to be a simple fix..since it only happened when I used new tab last night, as before. I can't even type about.config in the address line, it says problem loading page.
Thank you for your help...I just downloaded Firefox again, it solved the problem. No more tabs for me.

It should be about:config with a colon (:) and not a dot.
