Firefox won't auto goto page that I select from drop-down nav bar list. How to fix?

Before a recent FF upgrade, clicking on a previously viewed site from the navigation drop-down menu would take me to the site. Now, I have to click on the 'go' button to get there; not even hitting <enter> will work.

This issue can be caused by an extension (AVG Safe Search) that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
