I need to update Mozilla Firefox ( (I currently have version 67.0 (32 Bit) installed. Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical 1.0). It was initially uploaded (a few years ago), via Package Manager. Because for a while, I no longer receive support, that way I neither receive updates. So, I can't update again Mozilla Firefox via Package Manager. Please let me know how can I proceed to achieve this update. Thank you!

You can download the current release from the following page, but I'm not sure how you use Mozilla's build to update your distro's build. Hopefully a Linux person can chime in on that.

As a test, you could install the Developer Edition. It can coexist side-by-side with the standard release and would allow you to test for compatibility with the latest code. See:

You could install the snap or flatpak packages.

You don't. The tarball is the full version as you just untar it and then run the firefox-bin to start Firefox is the basics.

Also even if you could the mixing may cause issues as that is why .zip version (for Windows) was discontinued for Releases in the early days of Firefox as people were mixing the .zip and installer builds by installing over the other and having crashes and such.

Verify that you meet the System Requirements (GTK+ and GLib) for the current Firefox release.
