I use a VPN at work for accessing some internal domains. Until last week I was able to reach them fine in Firefox, then it wasn't work when I logged in on Tuesday. What happens now is the tab seems to wait for a bit, then it times out with an error that it wasn't able to connect. Is there someway to fix this?

I'm able to reach these domains through other means like chrome browser (which I'm using as a workaround) or git.

No

The site is internal right? If so, then not much we can do. Maybe make sure this is turned off. see screenshot

Turning that off fixed it, thanks

edit: Nevermind, I didn't realize you need to turn that off on a per-site basis so I wasn't actually turning it off on the internal websites. What's odd is that reaching the website did work this morning, but then I had to restart firefox due to an update and now it's back to not working

The timeline for when stuff started breaking seems to line up with when my firefox is getting the updated (I seem to get them 2 weeks after the release date listed https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/84.0/releasenotes/ and https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/84.0.1/releasenotes/). First had this issue last Tuesday when I got 84.0, now had a temporary period where it was working then it updated to 84.0.1 and back to not working.

Try going into the setting and allow the sites. see screenshot

I don't see how to Allow a site from the Manage Exceptions button, only remove exceptions on sites I've already given exceptions to. I also cannot load these pages far enough for the left button on the address bar to give me the option of disabling tracking for the current website.

I did try temporarily setting my protection level to Custom, then unchecked Tracking Content in hopes that would have the same affect as allowing all sites. That didn't allow me to reach these sites.

Try adding the sites you are trying to get to in the Manage Exceptions. see screenshot

How do I do that? I see the button and the modal it brings up but there's nothing in it about adding a site, only removing sites.

My mistake, wrong spot. Go into the setting and then under Privacy & Security.

Added the sites as exceptions but was not able to reach them

I would just go back to 84.0 and run a newer version in a separate folder. I currently run 84.0.1 and Nightly.
