Anytime I want to install any Firefox Add Ons, I get the page with the following button ""Nur in Firefox - Laden sie Firefox herunter" in EN: "Only in Firefox - Download Firefox".

Were you using Firefox at the time? Were you using anything that changes your user agent? (The user agent tells websites what your system and browser are.)

Hi hemartin, your browser has an unusual self-identification. If you expand "Question Details" and then "More system details" next to your question, you'll see:

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; WOW64; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/62.0.3 (x64 en-US) Anonymisiert durch AlMiSoft Browser-Anonymisierer 55154562

The part I bolded -- everything after the 0 on 62.0 -- causes the problem.

I've seen that once before in this thread: It´s not possible to install any Add-on / Missing the Install-Link (Button).

The user said it was fixed by uninstalling the software from "AlMiSoft" (https://almisoft.de/). I don't know whether that software has any options to NOT modify the user agent, but if it does, that could be another workaround if the software is useful intermediary for your browsing.

Hi jscher, thanks a lot. I will terminate the browser anonymizer temporarily, and see whether it works, as it should (it works on Chrome).
