Wont go back on page i came from

Some time ago browser started to weirdly save pages for "back" button. It happens only when i go from the page to the page with file. For example when i click on reddit to open page with picture it wont go back anywhere like it is the first page it opened. Or sometimes it will go to a completely different page from a while back.

What I do is, right click a link you want to check out, and select Open In New Tab. When I am done, I close that tab.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file (bookmarks, history) in the Firefox profile folder.

If the Places Maintenance extension can't repair the places.sqlite database file then remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database file from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
