Autorisation d'application

Lorsque vous installez une application sur un appareil iOS, certaines fonctionnalités peuvent être restreintes par le système d'exploitation. Pour accéder à ces ressources, les applications demandent des permissions spécifiques. Pour chaque permission, une brève description est incluse afin d'expliquer à quoi peut elle servir. Pour installer une application, vous devez reconnaître que vous êtes conscient de ce que le logiciel est capable de faire en donnant votre accord à iOS. Par exemple, lorsque vous visitez un site web qui requiert une fonction spécifique, telle que la capture ou le téléchargement d'une photo ou la recherche de votre position, iOS vous demandera la permission avant d'exécuter cette opération.

Les fonctions et permissions de Firefox

Lorsqu'une application a besoin d'accéder à une fonction ou à une autorisation, vous en serez informé et serez invité à accepter ou à refuser la demande. Le fait de refuser des autorisations n'affecte que la caractéristique spécifique ou la page web que vous êtes en train d'utiliser, cela ne bloque pas le reste des fonctionnalités de Firefox :

• Votre localisation (position GPS)' - La position GPS n'est utilisée que lorsque vous choisissez de partager votre position avec un site web. • Prendre des photos et des vidéos : Lorsqu'une page web vous demande de téléverser une image, vous pouvez choisir de prendre une photo à l'aide de l'appareil photo intégré de votre appareil, mais vous devez d'abord accorder cette autorisation. Si un site souhaite utiliser votre microphone pour communiquer, vous pouvez également choisir de le partager. Un site web qui utilise WebRTC peuvent demander cette permission.

Firefox n'enregistre jamais des données audio, ne prend jamais de photos ou n'enregistre jamais de vidéos sans votre consentement. Chaque fois qu'un site demande l'autorisation d'ajouter une photo ou d'enregistrer de l'audio, un message vous demandera votre accord. Vous verrez également une description des ressources auxquelles le site web peut accéder si vous autorisez de telles permissions. En voici un exemple :

1. Camera Usage: This lets you take and upload photos.
2. Photo Library: (Save/Upload: This lets you save and upload photos.
3. Photo Library: (Save only): This lets you save photos.
4. Microphone: This lets you take and upload videos.

• FaceID: A user has the ability to protect their saved login information with either a passcode or using Apple’s biometric authentication. If a user opts to turn on FaceID, this provides the authentication without ever saving it locally or remotely.

Firefox data collection

Firefox for iOS collects the following information:

• Contact info: email address

If you sign up for or sign in to a Mozilla account, Firefox for iOS receives the email address(es) you associate with that account.

• Usage data: Product interaction, Advertising Data, Other Usage Data

This permission is used for Analytics Such as using data to evaluate user behavior to understand the effectiveness of existing product features, plan new features, or estimate number of users and characteristics.

• Identifiers: User id, device ID

This permission is used for Developer’s Advertising or Marketing Such as displaying first-party ads in the app, sending marketing communications directly to users, or sharing data with entities who will display ads. This permission is also used for App Functionality Such as authenticating the user, enabling features, preventing fraud, implementing security measures, ensuring server up-time, minimizing app crashes, improving scalability and performance, or performing customer support.

• Location: Coarse location

This permission is used for Analytics Such as using data to evaluate user behavior to understand the effectiveness of existing product features, plan new features, or estimate number of users and characteristics.

• Diagnostics: Crash data, performance data, other diagnostic data

This permission is used for Analytics Such as using data to evaluate user behavior, including to understanding the effectiveness of existing product features, planning new features, or estimating number of users and characteristics. This permission is also used for App Functionality Such as authenticating the user, enabling features, preventing fraud, implementing security measures, ensuring server up-time, minimizing app crashes, improving scalability and performance, or performing customer support.

How can I request my data to be deleted?

You need to opt out of Usage and technical data in the settings:

1. Tap the menu button in the toolbar.

   

2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll down to Support.
4. Tap the toggle next to Usage and technical data.
