Every time I start FIrefox, I receive the error "Firefox Certificate Installator has stopped working". This started after I updated my Kaspersky antivirus to the 2013 version.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Restarted in safe mode with the default theme twice and the error still occurs. It happens before I receive the dialog to restart in safe mode.

Well, the error has stopped occurring. Not sure if it fixed itself or if whatever was triggering the error is not running anymore.

As far as I know, the Kaspersky Antivirus 2013 software may be incompatible with Firefox 21, thus invokes this error.
