inadvertently installed INbox as browser-uninstalled it,rebooted and it still goes to Inbox and not firefox though firefox is listed as the default browser

I inadvertently installed another browser-Inbox. I uninstalled it, rebooted the system and made sure that Firefox was still my default browser. When i click on the firefox icon it comes up as Inbox.It won't go away though it is uninstalled. What can i do?

To reset the home page, follow the procedure in the How to set the home page article. If it reverts to the inbox page when you restart Firefox see How to fix preferences that won't save.
