I am unable to use my bank bill pay with Mozilla as of 8/1/2024. Are there changes to Mozilla that have blocked my bank?
I am unable to use my bill pay with my bank using Firefox browser. However, I am able to use it logging on with Microsoft Edge. What has changed with Firefox recently? This has only become a problem as of today.

It could be related to Firefox's cookie/tracker protection. I recommend disabling it, by clicking the shield icon next to the search bar and toggling it off.
If that doesn't fix it, try logging in using a incognito tab. If that works, likely there is a site cookie issue. Clear all cookies for the site, and try it again.
Hello - I just had the same problem on Oct 4, 2024. Each time I tried to access BillPay from my online banking site I got linked to this: https://cw411.checkfreeweb.com/imm/BrowserPolicy/NoCookiesEnabled/14726 For some reason my security was set to "custom" which is WAY over my head and don't know why this was so. I changed to Standard security setting and was able to access BillPay.
Phew. Firefox has been my browser forever and I need my BillPay.
I am experiencing a similar problem with the TD Bank Billpay. I can log into my bank account with no problem but at some time in the last month or so (131 update?) I can no longer use the banks "Billpay". I have disabled uBlock Origin, all add-ons actually, FF Enhanced Tracking, tried Trouble Shooting Mode along with private mode. None work. I have also cleared Cache & data. I get the following response as soon as I click on the Billpay link: "Why can't I access Bill Pay?
You might have cookies blocked or cross-site tracking prevented. Depending on what browser you're using, check your settings for these terms:
Block third party cookies Cookie tracking Cross-site tracking
Make sure cookies are not blocked and cross-site tracking is enabled. Follow any additional instructions in your browser once you have adjusted these settings. Copyright © 2024, TD Bank, N. A.. All rights reserved."
Any ideas?

Straggler, did you try the advice mentioned above? To reduce your Tracking Protection from Custom or Strict to "Standard". That's the lowest setting. If it works, that means the other choices were blocking a url the bank needed to perform Bill Pay.
Follow these steps and choose "Standard": https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop#w_adjust-your-global-enhanced-tracking-protection-settings
You might need to close and reopen the browser after doing this. And in the past, some people cleared their cache and that fixed it.
I believe I mentioned what I have done. With all add-ons disabled, Enhanced Tracking completely off, with the cache and data cleared this results in the same message as I and apparently many others are having. I have had this bank account for many years and it is just with FF 131 on windows 11 that the problem has cropped up. Another user stated that he went back to 130 and all was fine until he again updated to 131 and the problem returned.

Thank you Straggler. I will file a bug report for everyone. I just wanted to double check with you since the Firefox developers will be asking questions like that since they will suspect Tracking Protection is blocking something on the bank site. Also because someone in this thread reported changing the Tracking Protection level helped fix the problem. But maybe that only fixes the issue for one bank and not the rest of them.
Thank you all for your inputs, team is looking into this with priority.
Questions that will greatly accelerate us figuring out the problem:
Could you try checking the values of these prefs in about:config network.cookie.cookieBehavior.optInPartitioning network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled
if any of them is set to true, most likely CHIPS one, can you change them to false, refresh the page and report back if that fixes the issue?
Additionally, which trackers are listed as blocked under shield panel?
Thank you in advance, Dan
Neha Kochar replied to me in another thread:
"In your about:config, if `network.cookie.cookieBehavior.optInPartitioning` is false - which is the correct value you want, could you then please try flipping the pref `network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled` to false and then reload your bank page and see if this fixes your problem?"
This solved my problem and Billpay for TD Bank now works for me as before.
Thank you.

You can also try this ETP Cookies setting in "Settings -> Privacy & Security -> ETP -> Custom". Custom: Cross-site tracking cookies, and isolate other cross-site cookies
- about:config => network.cookie.cookieBehavior => 5
In another thread dmehic said to try:
network.cookie.cookieBehavior 5 network.cookie.CHIPS.enabled true
That worked for me and solved the problem. Thanks to all who helped with this.
Having the same problem with bill pay since early Oct. Have the problem in 2 different financial institutions. Tried fix used by Straggler in above post. Worked in TD bank but not my credit union.
For credit union issue, is the error the same and does it help if you switch to ETP Standard in Settings -> Privacy & Security?
The error is exactly the same: Why can't I access Bill Pay?

My ETP is set to standard
We have just released an update - Firefox 131.0.3 that fixes this issue. Please make sure to update your Firefox. Thank you for reporting this and happy browsing!
Thanks for the update. I can confirm that fixed my issue.
