Is there a way to disable asking where to save downloads?

more options

I know I could use an addon like RunWith to download files to the Downloads folder without it asking where to save them, but I want files downloaded through Firefox the official way. I have “Always ask where to save files” unchecked in settings, but that doesn’t do anything.

But any links to it will be removed from discussion.

Your posts were hidden due to plagiarism and to make matters worse from a article that was for earlier Firefox versions and Preference that was not relevant for the then current versions of Firefox. Short version is you were posting wrong information.

Oh my god when I saw this email I thought I was reported for plagarism and got in trouble for reposting this or something. Anyway, so there isn't a way that either of you two would know of that works in recent Firefox versions, like the current one (116)?

You kept posting wrong information from an older askvg article and was plagiarism without giving source about a Preference that ONLY worked in Firefox 98.0 to 101.0 after Fx 102.0 and later versions were released. I and others had to correct you with information from the newer askvg article and preference (for Fx 102.0 and later) but you kept ignoring.

I beg to differ as they were deleted nothing was hidden as when I checked those post they didn't exist nor were hidden but deleted. I can go to the link for that site and have no issue using that edit on firefox and it's still present in my latest version even when I download latest Firefox updates to install them.

Oh they were indeed only made hidden as only mods/admins can see them and can make them visible again if we had a reason to. I could post a screenshot as proof but why should I as you would probably still claim those misinformation posts were deleted anyways.

Even the Admin kiki told you a few times the reasons why your posts on this were made hidden like in one of your threads /questions/1374212 - FF99.xx and Some tips to make it work. (just hidden, not deleted)

Hi donthavecow, (before you changed name to Dropa) I'm sorry but I would have to mark this question as spam to prevent this from being searchable and visible on the forum list of questions. I don't think that this post was added with the intention of asking question, but rather an abuse of feature to post information that is more suitable as an article with the intention of bypassing our review process on Knowledge Base article. We discussed this matter on the contributor forum that the engineer have suggested us to avoid telling users to flip the (removed old preference) pref for the reason that you can check from the this thread. As one of the top contributors, it's important to understand the implication of what you tell to users in this platform. I suggest watching the contributor forum (see this screenshot) to get update whenever there's a new thread. We often discuss product release and community updates there, so I highlly recommend doing that. Please send me a private message if you have further comment about this as I'm going to also lock the thread.

Anyways this is getting off-topic and you ignore PM's from myself and other MODs.

Is it possible to manage PNGs JPEGs and WEBPs in the settings? I want to right click and "save image as" without Firefox asking where to download. I should've specified that at first.
