remove wow.com from firefox
How do I get rid of wow.com
Chosen solution
You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) to make sure that nothing is appended after the path to the Firefox program.

It sounds like you have a third party program that has taken over your search engine, home page, and/or the default new tab page. Fortunately, this can be remedied easily:
- Click the menu button
and choose Add-ons.
- In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
- Select the toolbar you wish to remove.
- Click the Remove button.
- Click "Restart now" if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.
After Firefox restarts, install the Search Reset Tool. This add-on will remove the rest of the traces of this program from your Firefox and then uninstalls itself.

Wow does not appear in the add-ons. It doesn't appear anywhere. But when I open Firefox, it is the home page and nothing I do gets rid of it.
This search tool is added by malware. You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner

I appreciate your quick replies; however, WOW is only in Firefox. When I start Firefox, WOW is the home page. I can change it multiple times, but it always reverts to WOW. I have scanned this PC 5 times with different programs and none of them finds anything. It is maddening.

Nothing there to delete.
It is very frustrating. Any more suggestions?
It appears to be fixed. Don't know exactly how, but it's OK. Thanks for your help.
