I think that this toolbar came with a program which I downloaded called Dictionary Boss. Each time I bring up Firefox this "My Websearch Home Page" come up and replace Google. It seems to me that this websearch thing has become a part of FireFox. I have tried everything including deleted Dictionary Boss and this toolbar will not go away. Please help me.

This is from a good looking answer to a similar question, from the Search Firefox Help box at the top of this page -

<<You have an item installed that is considered malware/spyware/adware.

This type of pest is usually installed along with software you download from the internet; generally free programs, but not always. Carefully watch for "extra" items that will be installed and un-check or opt-out of them.

   You can check to see if you have any of these from Web Products" installed:
       Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, click on any that you find and click "Remove": Ask.com Bar, My Search Bar, MyWay Speed Bar, My Web Search Bar, Fun Web Products Easy Installer
       See:

   You MAY need to change a preference if when typing one or two words in the URL/Location/Address Bar sends you to some search page other than the one you expect. To reset your default URL/location bar search provider:
       Enter about:config in the address/URL bar and press the Enter key
       If you see a warning, accept it (Promise that you will be careful)
       Filter = keyword.URL
       Below the Filter, if keyword.URL is bold, right-click on keyword.URL and choose "Reset"
       Restart Firefox (File > Restart Firefox)
       See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyword.url >>

I too had that toolbar and ran SuperAntiSpyware (free version) and discovered over 700 threats had been installed! (I had scanned just prior to downloading Free Cursors - said there was no adware or spyware...bulls..t!). I had SAS remove the threats and it removed the toolbar! I had to reboot the computer as instructed by SAS. My computer repair person, Don Schrader (Schrader & Sons) recommended this program. SuperAntiSpyware

When I started FF 6.01 my persona theme (& persona plus program) were gone...:-( The personas had been working on 6.0 so not sure if SAS had anything to do with that...it never removed Personas Plus before. The personas I have used were saved in FF and by going to Tools, Add-Ons & clicking Appearance, they were there and work!
