I tried to fix an incoming and outgoing feature on Thunderbird. I tried to delete the account and install a new account. I cannot set up the incoming server settings on the program. The settings don't agree with the ones required by TDS telecom. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program. This will not work.

I tried to set it up manually and I still can't get the incoming server settings.

I tried using the recommended settings and keep getting an error message that I have the wrong portal for incoming server.

This is what I keep getting when I tried to set up Thunderbird according to TDS recommended settings.

The incoming IMAP server should be mail.tds.net on 993, SSL/TLS, normal password, User Name = email address. Your outgoing settings are correct.

The port for the incoming server keeps going to 143. I tried to get TDS to explain this and they could not.

Retry with 143 but do NOT include password. Wait until THunderbird later prompts for it after account is confirmed.
