Links in emails stopped working

I tried looking through the suggestions but none seemed to be it. The links in messages have always worked before, but they just stopped yesterday afternoon. I use Palemoon browser (it's supposed to be a knockoff of Firefox. I no longer use Firefox because there are too many instances of it that show up in the task manager. The links that come with email in T-bird have always worked, but they just stopped. I don't get it.

my guess is palemoon is no longer set as your default browser, change it to something else and back again is sometimes what is required.

Pale moon started life as a fork of Firefox, but as they use different rendering engines now as well as javascript engines I think any similarity to Firefox is probably historical. You are on your own there.
