Do you have logins.json and key3.db and key4.db in the profile folder?

If you have all three files then try to rename/remove key4.db to make Firefox fallback to key3.db and logins.json to see if that recovers the passwords. If you have logins.json.corrupt that is large enough to have the passwords then rename the file to logins.json. You can check logins.json.corrupt in a plain text editor to see if you recognize the websites (the username and password are encrypted). Keep a backup copy of the current logins.json and key3.db and key4.db files.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

You can check if you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
