I've had a few issues recently. Firstly Thursday last week got a notice today using Thunderbird email client that there is a security issue - this had not appeared ever before. I was getting the screen messages as attached (These need to be looked at in 1,3,2 order)

The web hosting service provider advised that any mail clients should connect without a secure connection (SSL). I've checked my Thunderbird setup and changed to SSL as it was set to STARTTTLS. Note I've been using Thunderbird successfully for more than 6 months with the same email address and web host and have not changed any setup myself from the first time I used it - so can only assume if STARTTTLS is wrong then something in Thunderbird has changed it itself???

Now tonight I see all emails in inbox earlier than 14/03/15 are gone?

Sorry for posting 2 issues in one message, but think thy could be related??

I am certainly not tech literate so hopefully get this sorted withe some help here.

Your Thunderbird is trying to access the server mail.epd.uk.com presumably as set up in your account settings. The server returns a cert for *.emailconfig.com. There's a mismatch, and this is what Thunderbird is complaining about. You should contact your email provider.
