Firefox lets you choose a different browser icon on Windows. Choose from the available icons to personalize how Firefox appears in Windows.

Note: This feature is currently available only for Firefox on Windows. It isn't available for Firefox installed from the Microsoft Store, macOS or Linux.

Change the Firefox icon

  1. Open Firefox and go to Settings.
  2. Select the Appearance panel and scroll down to Browser icon.

  5. Close Settings. Firefox applies your selection automatically.

Unlock special icons

Some icons in the Special section may require you to complete an action before you can use them.

For example, if you set Firefox as your default browser and also pin the browser, you’ll unlock bonus icons.

Note: The new icon will only be available on the taskbar, desktop, and Start menu. The desktop launcher icon will not update.

Enabling a custom browser icon may add a shortcut to your Start Menu Program folder.
