I try to install some extension but there some issue I don't know about it. I try to reinstall firefox developer again this issue not solved and refreshed it and not solved. and finally install normal firefox with new profile and this issue still not solved.

I can only install extension file if I download it directly form download library and convert the file from .xpi to .zip and install it manually in add ons manager.

please let me know how to solve this error.

When I have FF open, then close all windows but still have FF active, I hit CMD-T or CMD-N to bring up a new tab or window and nothing happens. I repeat, repeat, repeat and still nothing. THEN if I click on the FF icon in my dock, all the tabs and windows appear in a cascade of windows or tabs like bam, bam, bam.....

This happens on two MacBook Pros around 2016 vintage. This is a new behavior this week.

Lately when I attempt to download any pdf file I get the 'file name'.pdf with 'failed' as the result (when I check the Download icon on the FF status bar). I looked in my download directory and I found these 'failed' .pdf files with 0 KB and also some files (same name).pdf.part. I changed the file extension (deleted .part) to .pdf and the files would open in Acrobat. Nobody likes inconsistent problems, but occasionally a pdf will download normally!! But it fails more than it works. Using FF 102.0 (64-bit)

Discord hyperlinks will no longer open when Firefox Developer Edition is selected as my default browser. They open fine in both Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Google Chrome when selected as Windows 11's default browser. When selecting my default browser it would show 2 instances of Firefox Dev but after uninstalling then reinstalling it there is only one instance in the default app list. I'm not really sure where to go from here. Maybe this is an issue with the latest version of Dev Edition or is this an issue with my Windows?

Tell me how to reduce the size of buttons, tabs, and everything else BUT the fonts in my browsers. All of them have been affected. I've exhausted all of the normal "look in Settings and use your brain" options.

Whenever I sign into Firefox, all my themes, add-ons/extensions are added via Firefox Sync. That's fine, but the problem I have is that whenever I sign into any Firefox browser, an old theme I used to have that I no longer have on my account keeps coming back, and I've tried to find solutions to this issue, but none have had this kind of issue. It may be similar to issues those have had, or currently have, but I can't seem to do anything to remedy this issue.

Keep in mind that this is not a Firefox browser issue, it is an account issue.

I'd be deeply grateful to any assistance you may have for me.

This is on Ubuntu. I installed Firefox Developer edition to /opt/firefox and made a .desktop file I put in ~/.local/share/applications and this was working well. I added it to favourites so it appeared on the dock, and added some customizations.

But at some point Firefox started to create its own .desktop file at launch when it prompts to be default browser and you say yes, called stuff like "userapp-Firefox Developer Edition-N8YCQ1.desktop". These files fill up ~/.local/share/applications and break my existing file by making a second Firefox icon on the dock so I cannot click the first one. Also my own custom file had Desktop Actions so I could right-click the icon to open a new window or new private window, but the generated ones are barebones.

Every time I delete the "userapp" file, a new one is made the next time I open Firefox (which has now forgotten it is default browser) and the issue is back. Is there an option to disable this behaviour?

I started having this issue after a crash with an update to version 103 after restart. And since then when I open firefox in full screen (mac) and open a youtube video and click the picture in picture mode, firefox will just open a open/popup a new picture in picture in full screen mode instead of a smaller picture in picture window. I'm not sure if this is a macos bug or firefox.

So I am a web developer, is there a way to change the version of Firefox developer to the latest Firefox version? Because it is currently in beta version.

I am using Firefox developer for web development, and also for testing, and also for day to day web browsing. I just realized that the Firefox developer is a beta version, but our users use the latest version of Firefox. I believe this can be a problem when the development environment is not the same as the user's version.

If I install Firefox's official browser, it will be a waste of storage.

Win 10, Developer Edition 103.0b2

This update caused everything to increase in size. Tabs & toolbars are much bigger now. Toolbar and bookmarks toolbar used to fit in the window with no overflow, now both have a lot of items in overflow.

Sites that used to fit at 100% zoom now have to be reduced to 80% or 67% to fit on-screen.

Just wondering what could cause this behavior? Settings?

Note: Browser window is fully maximized and no other program on my Win10 box has this issue.

Why does Firefox scrolling bounce across posts in Facebook. As you scroll through posts suddenly Firefox will skip 2-6 posts ahead? It does not do this in Chrome!

Tried restoring through menu several different bookmark dates, different size/link amounts, loops and never completes.

External backup in future, best way???

Other issue is copying link from a Google tab, to a Facebook tab, have about a 10-20-second delay (a block) before I can access the Facebook tab to paste the link - This worked fine until about a month ago. Opera work fine.

Should I forced FF to complete SANDBOX mode to restore functionality??? Switch to DEVELOPER version??? Try to GO-BACK MUCH OLDER VERSION???

The saved-telemetry-pings folder in my Firefox profile doesn't get cleaned up of the old telemetry pings, and it just keeps growing over time.

I have pings in this folder that are from October 2021 and I doubt this is a normal behavior.

It's not the first time this thing happen, and October 2021 is probably the last time I cleaned this folder.

How do I make it so it doesn't keep telemetry pings, but I can still use telemetry. I use the beta Firefox, and I'd like to keep some telemetry as some of the devs at Mozilla foolishly rely on the telemetry to slash features, when telemetry is so broken it's better set to disabled than enabled.

When I try to log in to any Google "Ecosystem" (i.e Gmail, Youtube etc.) I see it (check screenshot below). I'll use Firefox Developer Edition. In vanilla Firefox and other browsers, everything works as usual.
