Who utterly hates the new Firefox bandwagon look as much as me? Firefox 29
I am personally turning off updates and reverting. I have always stood by Firefox and its devs but this is a bad direction. I suggest doing a official community wide survey. I for one feel this is a step backwards if not several.
SO here is the question

Matt removed the link to an older version of Firefox.
the-edmeister locked this thread due to it being off-topic - not looking for Support - main intent was posting a link to a survey and that was accomplished

It's actually quite nice. Don't actually see anything there to hate.
Hey there!
Thanks for voicing yourself.
Thank you for trying the new Firefox. We’re sorry that you’re unhappy with the new design.
Here are a few suggestions for restoring the old design. We hope you’ll find one that works for you:
- Use the Classic Theme Restorer to bring back the old design. Learn more here: How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox
- Use the Add-on Bar Restored to bring back the add-on bar. Learn more here: What happened to the Add-on Bar?
Firefox is a work in progress and your feedback is very important to us. Our support community is run by volunteers who work hard to help all Firefox users, but we can’t make changes to the design ourselves. Please help us improve Firefox by leaving feedback where the designers and engineers can see it: https://input.mozilla.org/en-US/feedback.
This forum is for tech support. A better place to post a survey would be on a social media site. Mozilla's about page has links to its Facebook and Twitter in the footer: https://www.mozilla.org/about/
Also, to give input on features you want added (or added back) to a future version of Firefox, use the Input site. Either:
- Firefox menu: Help > Submit Feedback
- https://input.mozilla.org/feedback
See whether this article resolves your concerns: How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox. Because the security vulnerabilities in Firefox 28 have already been made public, and you'll want to update eventually. https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html
i have removed the FTP link in your original question, simply because the use of non current web browsers is very bad from a security stand point. If you do not intend to update your browser, please use one your comfortable enough with to actually update. I don't care what browser you choose, just make it a current version.
I really do wonder what you hope to achieve by posting here at all. This is the look of Firefox for the foreseeable future, it has been more than a year in development and has gone through a lot of testing and user experience checking. That you do not like it is unfortunate, it is also irrelevant in the larger scheme of things, you and I are but two in a community of many millions.
The Australis look is something I personally love. I jumped to a nightly version of Firefox the minute it was available just to get rid of that ugly orange blob. If you want something offensive. That Fisher-Price orange blob was right up there with the windows green blob on the bottom of the screen, got rid of that ugliness back about 2002.
