If Google is encrypted on Firefox, how about Yahoo? And, told the do not track activates tracking just the reverse. Please help!

The "Do Not Track" setting is a privacy feature whose effectiveness depends on the destination site. If you choose to have Firefox send the site a "Do Not Track" request, it is up to the site to honor that request. Some will, some won't.
I don't know what Google is doing in response to DNT, but if you are logged into your Google account while searching, then of course what you do is already linked to your account...
Regarding Yahoo, you want to search Yahoo over a secure connection? You could install or create a custom search plugin that uses HTTPS instead of HTTP so your search bar and address bar searches are automatically encrypted. Let me know if that's what you had in mind.

Actually, Yahoo might not have SSL enabled on its search site. This doesn't connect for me: https://search.yahoo.com/
Unless there is a secure site for Yahoo searches, a new search plugin won't work any better than the existing one.
