Beginner!! Trying to use Firefox, download and then goes to Google sign in. Must I have google account to use this? So confused
I am trying to download, it seems to get to end, then a screen comes up for google sign in. Must I use this? How can I use Firefox.

You don't require to sign in Google to download Firefox. Are you currently using Google Chrome or IE to download Firefox?

Thank you for answer but I am still not sure what I am doing wrong. Is IE,internet explorer? if so I think that is what I have. So much a beginner!! I thought all I had to do was download and then launch and have it as my browser.
Yes, IE is Internet Explorer. See the second link that I provided in my response above. It provides instructions with screen shots on how to download Firefox. You may want to close other programs running when downloading Firefox. Hope it works for you.
