I get a weird Community Toolbar error sometimes

When I try to run some (maybe all) Yahoo! Games using Firefox (4.0b1) I get a window that says "Community Toolbar We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar." followed be a "Close" button. My Safari browser stopped working properly months ago and I abandoned it. Before it broke it ran these things fine, and the Flock browser also runs them.

The example URL is a crossword puzzle. When I close the error window the puzzle goes on to run normally. But where is this window coming from? (Who's "sorry", Yahoo! or Mozilla?) And why is it even talking about Safari? What IS a community toolbar, anyway? What's going on?
