Hiya,

This is probably a long shot, but I'm becoming pretty frustrated. Using Mountain Lion (10.8) on some species of MacBook Pro.

I have dexterity problems and I find Firefox's way of spelling correction very awkward, I'd like to enable it to play with OS X's autocorrect feature which suits me far better. At the moment, I'm typing emails in Notes where, being a ML native app, it works no probs.

Having said all this, I fear this is probably an Apple issue, rather than anything to do with Mozilla or Google (it doesn't work in Chrome, either, and I prefer both Firefox and Chrome to Safari, which is rapidly becoming Apple's IE). I'm no lover of Apple these days, anyway - I don't like secrecy (I'm referring to iOS now, of course). If I could find an iPod-a-like which ran Android, I'd switch in a heartbeat but, sadly, as far as I know, no such critter exists.

If anyone knows of a workaround which would enable me to do what I desire, then tell me! It'd be VERY much appreciated.

Like I said, I don't blame Mozilla and I don't blame Google -it's Apple being Apple. I've been a Mac user since 1986, and my love affair with it is being sorely tested. I'm almost longing for the days of System.

I'll go away now, I can't type for too long. My quest for a Chinese Medicine and/or Holistic Medicine Practitioner in the UK continues (I've had enough of the NHS. What I've learnt about it since I've been sick (a legacy of the old days when I did trust it) makes me sicker. This isn't the place to air those grievances, though).

Cheers, m'dears!

Peace, Love and Bacon,

SJ

I was researching, but found another bug in Mac, putting this here so I do not forget. http://macs.about.com/od/OSXLion107/q.../Os-X-Lion-Automatic-Spelling-Correction.htm
