When I type in a URL or click on a link on some websites the browser adds extra characters after the URL. So for instance I type in http://www.martinneeves.co.uk/blog/ it goes to the page and adds the extra characters . This happens with random websites, not wordpress as suggested by another forum member

Such a random hash can be added by a script that runs on the website (I'm not getting it with JavaScript disabled). With this link I see those characters in Google Chrome as well, so I don't think that there is anything to worry. They change with every page reload, so I assume that this is a way to check for updates and avoid issues with the cache.

I get these too. They appear to be web ding font (I think). Problem is they sometimes obscure the name of the tab, making it quite annoying.
