firefox android opens to about.config as home page. unable to set new home page
firefox android always opens new tab or browser session on about:config page. I've restarted browser and tablet(Samsung Galaxy Tab 3), and this behavior still persists. All google searches suggest that the firefox android browser home page cannot be changed but this is obviously not true. I've tried solutions that suggest navigating to about:home and modifying bookmarks and these paths do not work. The awesome bar is far from awesome!!!!!! How do I stop the browser from starting at about:config and how can I make the home page be what I want?

Solution Found: Whenever using the firefox shortcut in the quick launch section at the bottom of my home screen I got about:config
Whenever opening new tabs while browsing I got about:config
I removed the quick launch firefox shortcut and went into apps and added the firefox shortcut to quick launch again
The new shortcut follows my customization settings and opens to top sites now as well as new tabs opening to top sites
Obviously there is a way to set a home page for a shortcut somehow
Unfortunately, this tablet was operating incorrectly when purchased and I do not know how to modify the shortcuts yet but they can be modified

In the about:config page entry on the desktop there is a homepage entry, but does not show up on my android, odd.
Try this > Settings > Customize > Home Change setting here and open a new tab to see if changes are made.
Also check the about:addons page to see if you have any homepage add ons that has saved the about:config page as the home page.

Thanks for trying but this did not help me resolve the problem. I just replied to my question with what I discovered that finally stopped the confusion.
