I have Win11, Thunderbird Windows MSIX packagethunderbird-MSIX - 1.0, and several accounts (The box below won't take anything past "Thunderbird Window.")

I'm looking for some way to make a different ring either for one of the accounts or for certain domains or for a subfolder -- any way that I'll know when something comes in from specific domains. The special ring(s) can be for each of the two domains or both of them. Can that be done?

I have been able to use the builtin VPN for a couple of months now. In the past week, when I try to turn on the VPN, I receive a message that I am not connected to the internet, even though I already am.

What is the issue?

I've been using Thunderbird version 155.0 with only a few issues (reported in other posts).

To investigate one of the issues I've had to create a new profile for testing. I've managed to set everything up except for my default font for outgoing emails. If I send an email with say, four lines of text, I can format each line to be a different font and the received email reflects the different fonts for each line.

But Thunderbird isn't remembering the last selected font. So if I send a second email (without re-selecting any font) the recipient receives it in some naff mono-spaced font. I guess there's somewhere where I can set up the default font for my outgoing emails but I haven't managed to find it yet. Can anyone help?

Since yesterday, videos on NetMirror are not playing. Every video shows a “Video load failed” error. I have tried multiple times, but the problem is still happening. Please help me fix this issue.

all of a sudden I'm not getting any new emails and some of my emails that I got won't come up or unbold. I didn't do anything to the program. I haven't fooled with it. I saw there was an upgrade recently from 154 to 155. when did this happen?

I have 5 email accounts on my desktop and the emails are doing funny things. Now they finally loaded but they aren't coming up or unbolding in one of the addresses. In another address I was able to pull up the emails and they unbolded but then all of the new ones bolded again and I couldn't pull the last two up

do you have to contend with Windows upgrades? Do windows upgrades affect Thunderbird? I don't 'fool' with my computer as I'm not very computer literate.

Setting up a new Macbook air m5 and trying to sync my profile/bookmarks/etc. on FireFox but the confirmation code is not arriving at my gmail. Checked spam and added "accounts@firefox.com" to my contacts but still not arriving. Help?

Trying to solve aperformance problem I tried to move my profile from C:\Users\Peter and Carol\Profiles\sjig3laj.default to "C:\Users\Profile\." -- when that did not work, I was unable tomove back to the original location, TB telling me "Local directory path ... is not suitable for message storage". How do I get back to the config that worked before ? (was just slow)

I received an error indicating that Firefox was unable to be updated. I tried refreshing the installation as suggested, to no avail. Then I removed the application, downloaded the most recent version, and tried to install it. The installation never seemed to begin. I tried troubleshooting compatibility again with no success.

I've rebooted between each failed attempt to install (at least twice). I opened Task Manager, and the process appears to be stalled. It starts; however, it doesn't consume any resources and hangs. I've attached a screenshot of basic system information.

I've noticed that Mozilla products (firefox, thunderbird etc) all phone home all the time, which is a violation of both my security as well as privacy policy. In the firewall one can observe persistent, periodic, repeated connections to various non-sanctioned sites and services, apparently run by Mozilla. These include, but are not limited to:

• .mozgcp.net
• .services.mozilla.net

firefox-portal-detection.com etc.

Specifically, there are persistent, periodic and repeated connection attempts to (just copy/pasting from the first page of firewall report; there are many more as well as similar connection attempts from thunderbird as well): firefox-settings-attachments.cdn.mozilla.net:443 assets-prod.sumo.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net:443 content-signature-2.cdn.mozilla.net:443 push.services.mozilla.com:443 etc

These begin at the startup of the browser/mua and continue throughout the session. Given that none of the sites actually browsed have anything to do with mozilla per se, and given that various privacy-violating features such as DNS-over-HTTPS (yes, that's a not a privacy-enhancing feature but the opposite - it just shifts the surveillance point from the ISP to the DoH provider) and other similar "features" are disabled in-browser, there should be no user/browser connections attempted to mozilla servers.

Also, by setting up a local security MITM proxy in order to observe and analyze the content sent to and received from these services and configuring the browser to connect via the proxy, the browser seems to *stop* trying to connect to these services, which indicates *active* measures by the browser/mua to avoid it's browser-fingerprinting and location-revealing content from being intercepted and analyzed.

This is especially concerning as Mozilla actively brands and markets it's products as privacy-respecting, as for-user-rights and as away-from-big-tech-dominated. Consequently I perceive this as complete breach of trust. Even by just *attempting* such phone-home connections a leak of metadata occurs, identifying the IP, the browser and consequently the user and user's location, sometimes actively (such as was the case with now apparently discontinued location.services.mozilla.net). Combined with whatever content these connections carry, this constitutes a serious breach. And there seems to be no way for the user to configure the browser to stop making these connections, other than by using an external application firewall.

And to top it off, with Firefox version 155.0.1, the browser now outright refuses to connect to *any* sites at all if firefox.settings.services.mozilla.com:443, firefox-settings-attachments.cdn.mozilla.net:443, firefox-portal-detection.com:80 and content-signature-2.cdn.mozilla.net:443 are *externally* blocked, at least on that profile (which worked just fine prior to upgrade to 155.0.1), showing a spinner and waiting indefinitely (not even timing out). These are the *only* connections it even attempts, completely ignoring the actual site that it was told to connect to. So that's at least 4 privacy-violating, security-policy-violating phoning-home connection attempts and a complete disregard for user's actual, sanctioned connection request.

Thunderbird not connecting to server. It says timds out and an error occurred connecting to mobile.charter.net. I can neither send or receive emails. This started 8/20/2026

I have settings from Greenby to set up server connections for a new account. They are validated by thunderbird but, after, entering my greenby password, generates the error, below, which greenby claims is a thunderbird problem.

I have VPN set to On on Firefox 155.0 on a phone with Android 14. This is the VPN now built into Firefox mobile, not the Mozilla VPN subscription. When I restart the phone VPN turns off. Is there a way to keep VPN on so I do not have to turn it back on each time I restart the phone? Also, VPN sometimes turns off, but not always, when I quit and reopen Firefox. I use Firefox in private browsing mode with the setting on to delete Delete browsing data on quit.

I am in the UK. I happen to have used amazon UK enough recently that it gets into the top-8 history in the address bar on a new tab.

And then the Amazon sponsorship – which is turned off in settings – corrupts it and "normalises" it to reference amazon.com. Screenshot attached with the misalignment highlighted.

Of what possible use is it to surface a top recently-used site when the address gets corrupted so it does not point to the site that has been used? This is idiotic.

Hint. When sponsored sites are turned off, respect that choice. Do not allow them to corrupt the experience. And even if it weren't a corruption introduced at Amazon's behest, domain normalisation is absurd when the site in question is geographically distinct. There is no possible excuse for it.
