Hi, Is anyone else experiencing this? When I open a news item on the web, random words appear in red and double underlined. If I place the cursor on the word a pop-up message appears with the header "easyinline" and the message "Online workers needed now. Work with Amazon.com". I have blocked the easyinline cookie, if that actually exists, but cannot block the Amazon cookie as it blocks me from purchasing from Amazon. I have AVG anti-virus and a paid version of Malwarebytes installed, but they don't find anything. Thanks, Barry

Hi,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

If you would like to save a listing of the add-ons, important modified preferences/settings etc. to quickly replicate the previous profile, please Copy all to clipboard (on the left of the reset button), and paste it into Office Excel, or OpenOffice/LibreOffice Calc, or notepad. However, it would be a good idea to check for the existence of the issue immediately after the reset.

I'm having the same problem, plus I'm seeing a frequent "Congratulations, you have been chosen..." verbal, with either a free $500 Visa card, an Ipad, or an Apple Mac dangled at the end of it. I've deleted all cookies, but that doesn't appear to be the vector that this nuisance is using.

No, this did not solve my problem.

I believe my problem was just the early stages of a computer problem caused by a virus and in the end I couldn't access the internet and had to do a clean re-install of Windows, at which time I also changed my anti-virus to Avast. All has been fine since.
