I have trying to install Flash player on my new computer and I cannot figure out how to do it. After reading a bunch, I know that I need to put libflashplayer.so in the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins folder, but whenever I try it I get an error. All that the it says is "Error moving file: Permission denied". I am an administrator, so how cannot have permission. If it matters, my computer runs Linux.

Note that you can also create a plugins folder in the parent location of the profile folders (~/.mozilla/plugins) and place a symlink to the Flash file in that folder.

"create a plugins folder in the parent location of the profile folders" How do I do this?

The Firefox profile folder is in "~/.mozilla/firefox/" in your home directory. You can create "~/.mozilla/plugins/" and place a symlink to the Flash plugin in this plugins folder. Then the Flash plugin stays in its install location and can be updated normally.
