I'm running Thunderbird 52.1.0 on Windows 7. Up until a week ago I could click a link in an email, either a URL or to an attached file, and the source would be displayed. Then it changed to presenting a window "link properties" and there is no live link to a url or the file attached to the email. I've tried turning my security system off and also falling back to the Thunderbird rel 45.8.0 and neither action fixed the problem. How do I fix it?

I don't understand the report.

A link in a received e-mail, like https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1158521 can be clicked without problem.

When you compose an e-mail and insert a link and then chose a file which is to be included in the message, something like this will be sent: file The reference goes to a message attachment and clicking the link will open the attachment.

Although the internals were changed from TB 45.8 to TB 52, the function is still the same.
