For the last couple weeks I've been having a problem with my Master Password. When I enter it it says it's wrong. I've checked it out and it doesn't matter what I do it says it's wrong, so I end up having to go in and change it. Then it accepts the old password and allows me to change the password. This has happened 4 or 5 times. Now I can't get it to accept the password even to get a new one. This is too frustrating. Is there something I've done, like erasing cookies or something that set this ball rolling???

Wow, that's illogical: the same password was correct in one dialog and incorrect in another?

If you type the password into a Notepad window where you can see the text, then copy/paste it into the dialog, does it work?

Do you use any security software designed to frustrate keyloggers? In the past some users have encountered problems with such software because they scrambled the input of passwords or other form data.

Did you use special (i.e. non-ASCII or above 0x100) characters or accented characters in the Master Password?

If you did then try to change the MP and only use ASCII in the a-z,A-Z,0-9 and some symbols.

I'm afraid I do not know what non-ASCII or above 0x100) means. I used regular letters, numbers and one special character. I can't change it anyway, because it won't accept my, or what I thought was my, password. TY for trying. I'm very slow, and old and not up on the computer savy words. Unfortunately it won't accept anything I could have used for my password so I can change it this time.
