I had two Firefox windows open. One had 100+ tabs open, the other had around 5 open. Like a klutz I accidentally closed the window with the 100+ tabs open instead of the other window. Now when Firefox restarts it opens the version with the 5 tabs.  :-( I read about lost tabs in Firefox. I have found a file with the 100+ tabs in it. It is called: upgrade.jsonlz4-20221007134813. But what do I do next to restore Firefox to restart with the 100+ tabs version? Thanks.

Firefox crashes whenever I paste something in search bar. Even if its one word only. It has been like 3 months now and no help. It even crashes in troubleshooting mode. I have reinstalled and refreshed, but it helped only for a day.

It has recently come to my attention that Mozilla may not continue to support Firefox browsers installed on Windows 7 computers after Jan. 2023, when the extended support for Windows 7 ends. Is that correct?

Will Firefox continue to work, but not receive security updates after that date?

Will Firefox still work on a Windows 7 computer that gets patches from 0Patch?

Hello, I hope someone can help me.

Ever since I updated firefox, my cpu is almost at 100%. With only 2 or 3 tabs open. I updated from version 106.0.2 to 112.0.2. Before this update, I could have several tabs open, up to 10 and the computer would run fine. Now with 3 tabs open, it gets really slow. And I can hear my desktop suffering (the fans go to full speed). When checking the task manager, firefox is taking all the memory and the cpu usage is almost at 100%. I have to keep restarting firefox.

The conditions are the same. The only thing that changes was updating firefox. I already searched for ways to reduce the firefox cpu usage, but nothing changed.

Is there a way to fix this? Or how can I go back to an older version of firefox? Because I'm afraid my computer will die from simply opening 3 tabs.

to archieve some good old games, I use an special version of Firefox. Firefox (MyPal): 29.2.0, with Adobe Flash preinstalled, Disk-Cache

For most games it will suffice: After loading all content online, it will be available offline too. But... some audio/video files will be saved in memory cache - %temp%\mozilla-temp-files\*[random-auffix] - instead of in disk cache. After closing session they get deleted and after restart they are saved again, with another suffix.

How can I tell Firefox to permanent save streamed audio/video files, like Firefox does with everything else? In the end the music should play if I open the browser offline too.

Firefox is set to remember history, but every time I close it and re-open it, links in websites that once had purple text is now back to white, so I don't know what link I'm on, Firefox remembers this through history saved, why does it reset back to white text? Does it have something to do with bitdefender or bitdefender VPN? Can anyone else test thie out with firefox and bitdefenders full security on? Firefox is set to save everything by the way. Only started happening after installing bitdefender.

On one web site (see attachments), my location is being detected as being outside USA while using firefox desktop browser, yet on the same computer, my location is being correctly detected as being inside USA.

You will see the asian words. When I change the pull dawn tab ("Saudi Arabia") to "USA", the asian lettering does not convert to English.

Not sure how to fix this.

I'm using the OneTab add-on, Enabled. The icon no longer shows on the Toolbar, though it is on the Menu bar next to Firefox View.

I ran Remove and then Added it again, hoping the Toolbar Icon would reappear = no go, And I lost all URLs already saved, stupid me. To be clear, clicking the Icon on the Toolbar saves all open tabs.

When I load Chargehub.com into Firefox I should be able to see icons for electric vehicle charging stations plus a menu for such things as plug filters.

However, although the chargehub site loads with a Google map (after selecting Map) I don't get the EV charging station icons or menu. I do get POI icons such as for airfields, cemeteries, parks, churches, etc only when fully zoomed in. The Google zoom symbols and street map view options are also available.

I have not experienced this issue on any other WEB site including Plugshare or Chargemap. Further, when I open Google maps in Firefox and do the search, "ev charging stations in ontario canada", i do see the icons for charging stations.

I am running Windows 7 with Firefox version 107.01 on a desktop computer. Adblock and uBlock origin are installed. However I have the same results when running Firefox in safemode.

I do understand that Microsoft no longer supports Windows 7. However, my son is also running Windows 7 on his desktop computer, yet chargehub opens properly on his computer when using Firefox as his browser.

I've tried searching the WEB for an answer but no success so far.

Hello. Since a few years I was using 2 FF instances. Profile1 (default) triggered by "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" Profile2 triggered by "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox1.exe" -P Mike -no-remote -no-deelevate I could start profile 2, than profile 1 and corresponding icons on Windows 7 taskbar were lit.

Out of the blue today when I start profile2 shortcut icon from profile1 is lit and I can't start profile 1. When I start Profile1 I can run also Profile2 and corresponding icons on taskbar are lit.

There were no hardware nor software changes on that PC. How to get back possibility to run 2 instances of FF? Mike

I have this problem CONSTANTLY with 100.0. i keep 2 browsers open, (1 Email, 1 ebay) After 5-10 minutes, firefox "Loses" internet connection. and i have to clear the startup cache, to get back online, only for it to happen again... and again, and again, and again! Didnt have this issue with the previous update. PLEASE HELP! and please keep the answers simple, im not well versed in programming language

For some reason my tab icons look a little low, and I would like them more vertically centered.

I've been trying to move these icons around using some older code that doesn't seem to work anymore.

The code below no longer has any effect.

Does anyone know how to move the tab icons up 1 pixel?

I'm using Windows 7 and have been migrated to the esr updates for Firefox. I think this problem started cropping up just before going to the esr versions, but not sure. Firefox will a) randomly hang and do nothing for 5-10 minutes and then pick up fine b) tends to hang a lot when signing into websites like banks, etc, doing the same thing as (a). I've updated FF several times since then, but same problem. I did try to do 1 fix which suggested creating a new "places" database, but that did not solve the problem. Not sure where to go from here as nothing has changed on my computer since the problem started - no new software, etc.

Dear Sir I went to an organization on 21/03/2022 for assistant on an issue, in processing the matter I need to open my yahoo mail box for the relate documents within my mail. A lady who assistant me use her lap top computer to open my mail box - I enter my pass word, then a window camp up to asked if I want to save my pass word (with dark color) or not,(with gray color) I was in a stage of rush I just click on right top Conner 'x' she took her computer to other room ( in where I can not see ) I was too naive and don't know if all of my mails had been read by them? - It is my privacy. When I got home I was worried and at next day I changed my yahoo mail pass word. As my pass words are saved within Firefox when I want to open a site it is auto fill the pass word. 1: Is my pass word will saved in that lady's computer? 2: Although I have changed my yahoo mail pass word is it safe? Can that lady able to get to Firefox to see my saved pass word and open my email box? - explore all my emails? Please help I am really worried. I look forward to hearing form you soon. Thank you. I don't know if breakage is the correct topic. I keep Ring.com open to the dashboard in a pinned tab. A few days ago, I had viewed and cleared videos as usual and later returned to view new activity. The site requires logging in every 30 days and so seeing that I needed to do so was not a surprise. What was a surprise was that the login buttons were grayed out. I closed the tab, cleared the Ring cookies and cache and tried again. No luck. I wondered if there was some other setting that I didn't know about and decided to open a private window and try it there. To my surprise, it works. I'm stumped. I'll attach the raw data from the private window as a .txt file. Darn. I can only attach an image. Well, I have it available and can copy and paste it into a subsequent post if you think it would help

Hello. When I paste something inside firefox, then firefox suddenly shuts down and after that a window pops up, informing me that firefox has crashed and asking if I want to load the previous session... No changes have been made to my computer lately. Firefox has been updated to 113.0.1 but the problem has not been solved. Any suggestion?

Hi, I'm a Firefox user since around 2004. Whenever I used FF i always opened multiple windows of FF. At some point Mozilla came out with Tabs. I don't use them and as a matter of fact I use the option under settings to open links in a new window (not tabs). Always have, Why? Habit I guess from the times I first starting using FF. I seriously don't use Tabs. I would like to Remove the Tab Bar from FF because of this reason and it frees up a lot of visual space on my browser. I've spent hours reading/searching/trying on "how" to remove or at least hide the Tab Bar. Waste of time so far, so I decided to Post the Question.

How Do I Hide or Remove the Tab Bar in FireFox?

Hi there , I am interested to know if Mozilla support group is aware of the problem Microsoft update KB4474419 causes? I am running widows 7 sp1. I installed the update as you mentioned in your Firefox 100 release notes. After reboot , I got a beep and a black screen - win 7 won't start. I had to find a way to delete the update so I could boot my system back. I asked few of my colleagues that use the same OS and they experienced the exact same problem. Surfing the web , makes it quite clear - this update is faulty and not compatible with win 7 as Microsoft claims. I would like to get a straight answer - can I update my FF99 to FF100 , without the notorious KB4474419 , or , as of FF100 , win7 sp1 is no longer applicable to Firefox ? Thanks. look4
