Has anyone experienced issues with Twitter or Bitly while using Firefox?
Last week I started having trouble with my twitter account while using Firefox. When I click on reply or following, etc. it does nothing. Also, when I signed into my bitly account, none of my links show up. The page is blank. These issues do not happen with Internet Explorer, but I'd really prefer to keep using Firefox.

I don't use those sites, but while you're waiting for feedback, here is something that often helps.
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
- right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
If this problem started when you installed Firefox 23.0 or 23.0.1, check for a new icon on the address bar, it looks like a shield and appears to the left of the URL. This indicates that on the secure page you are viewing, there is some insecure content that Firefox is blocking. This article has more details on this feature: Mixed content blocking in Firefox
Thank you. I have tried clearing the cache and cookies but no luck :(
Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)
- You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for that.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.
Thank you.
Thank you. I used the reset Firefox process and it seems to have helped.
Hi petroliagirl, after a Reset, Firefox places an Old Firefox Data folder on your desktop. I suggest keeping that around for a while in case you discover that you lost some data you really need back. In that case, please describe what you need and a volunteer can help you recover it.
