Hi there, I recently installed firefox onto my android phone. When I opened firefox last week to search for a company, I noticed that firefox automatically displayed the google home page and that it was logged into an email account that is not mine, I do not recognise and is not one of my friends. The gmail is tsaki.mokaatg at gmail.com. In addition, I keep my phone on me at all times and it is locked with a pin, so I don't think someone has got hold of my phone and logged into their gmail account on my firefox. I don't actually allow my google account to stay signed in, least of all on firefox. The strange thing was when I hit search and google displayed all the results, if I scrolled to the bottom of the page, i was no longer signed into the gmail account I did not recognise. Yet if I exited firefox, opened it again and did another search. Again is would be logged in to this unfamiliar email address. I could access preferences, but not any other account details, so i couldn't see if there was a search history. I was worried my phone was compromised, so cleared data, uninstalled apps etc.

Strangely after reinstalling firefox, the exact thing happened again and it displayed another unfamiliar email address, this time mohlamonyanemichael@gmail.com

I know my lesson should be I used a different and more secure search engine, but i am worried. I haven't contacted google as this issue is not on their radar and trying to find an email address or form to contact them about this problem, has wasted the last hour of my life.

I believe your phone has been compromised by a virus or malware or trojan. I think it's a fake Gmail app causing all these problems. I'm no expert on the subject but I feel this may be true.

There were a few articles about this problem in July 2012:

It may be a new version of it. Try to download a antivirus for your mobile phone. There's Kaspersky, Avast and AVG to choose from. I believe they have free versions of their software.
