An Add-on I have removed continues to reappear no matter how many times I Disable or Remove it. How do I permently remove an add-on?

So far none of the Help Topics solve this problem. Typically the Add-On stays off my browser for a few sessions and then magically reappears and annoying ads start plaguing my browser once again... Nothing seems to get rid of this Add-on. I tried re-installing Firefox and that did nothing.

Have you checked the Windows Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs or "Programs/Features" and tried uninstalling from there?

Please name the add-on you are trying to remove.

Basically, if there is an add-on that will not be removed after uninstalling it from the Add-ons page in Firefox, you might be successful in removing it from the extensions folder, as well as edit the config page and select "reset" for all the entries for that add-on.

NOTE: Please do not edit the config unless you are positive of what you are actually doing

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

The Add-on is "Trusted Saver".

I'll try Waka_Flocka_Flame's suggestion. The extension folder suggestion doesn't seem to permanently work. Thank you both for the suggestions though! ;)

That did the trick. Frustrating that no matter how many times I disabled the add-on it kept showing up! Thanks so much!
