mozilla firefox is no longer showing save as type field.While downloading this field was blank.

sir,i have been using mozilla Firefox for over 3 years,evrything worked fine.Download goes,upload happens,surfing works smoothly on it but within 1 month recent i've been facing an awkward problem.everytime when i try to download any kind of media file from web , in the pop uped window the field named SAVE AS TYPE remains blank.i have tried to much processes on it but nothing worked. it would be very useful if a solution may rise.Thank you.

Try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

Try to delete the MRU (Most Recently Used) ComDlg32 registry keys with the regedit.exe program.

Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ComDlg32

Delete the subkeys (LastVisitedPidlMRU and OpenSavePidlMRU)
