I watch many streams on TwitchTV and have had no problems until recently. When I start up a live stream it runs fine until it needs to load one of it's ads. It will say it's loading the Ad but won't load the ad and also will block my stream. I downloaded Chrome and find there isn't this problem. If I install and use AdBlocker then it runs fine but I prefer not to do that.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing ads to not load properly in only Firefox? I don't use any Add ons and have tried Safe mode but the problem persists.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can check for problems with preferences that were changed accidentally and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

THank you so much. I will give these a try. I actually found that the problem resolved itself so it must have been an issue on the websites side.

You're welcome

Such issues can also be caused by security software that needed an update to support the current Firefox release.
