My auto spell is disconnected when I clear my history. How do I reinstall it.
When I cleared my history the last time the function that inserts completed e-mails etc. when I begin to type them in was disconnected and I can't restart it. I tried to reinstall Firefox hoping it would solve the problem. I use the AT&T e-mail function. How do I recapture this very important function?

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving and filling autocomplete data.
The bookmarklet mentioned here should make Firefox remember form data in that case, but you will still need to use the bookmarklet to make Firefox offer saved form data.

Do you mean the "Form autocomplete" feature?
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" > "Remember search and form history"
Yes, A couple of times before when I deleted my recent history the function stopped working. Once I contacted AT&T and they said this was a problem with Firefox. They told me to delete my history again and reboot my computer and the auto-complete returned, but this time I can't get it back. My problem hasn't been solve!

Did you check the above mentioned setting?
Also make sure that you aren't in Private Browsing mode.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Nothing seems to work. The autocomplete works on another browser (Explorer) and with another e-mail address (Yahoo) and it works on the search engines on the Foxfire browser but it doesn't work with the e-mail when I start to type in an address. I tried the safe mode and it made no difference. I have a laptop also with the Firefox browswer and the same att.net e-mail and it works fine there as well. There seems to be a disconnect between the att.net e-mail and the Firefox browser just on my one computer.

I solved my problem. It was evidently related to some registry problems in Microsoft. I ran my software's maintenance programs and they found and fixed the problem. Thank you for your help. My autocomplete and contact list issues are solved.
